Saturday

Aaron and I met Tina and Chuck at the new Bahama Breeze for dinner. Just when I thought they ran out of ideas for theme restaurants...sitting in there you can feel as though you are on vacation...for a split second.

We also went to see "Moulin Rouge". The first half hour ran like it was on crack. It was the costume party in "Romeo and Juliet" played four times as fast.

I enjoyed it. The movie had all the typical Baz Lurman features, modern pop songs redone to fit the situation (Cyndi Lauper's "Time After Time" in "Strictly Ballroom", Prince's "Purple Rain" in "Romeo and Juliet", Stings "Roxanne" in a scene from Paris in the late 1800's in"Moulin Rouge") There are also his called out catch prases ("A life lived in fear is a life half lived" - "Strictly Ballroom", "Truth, Beauty, Freedom and Love!" - "Moulin Rouge")

Even the soundtrack has the little sketched icons on it like the other movies soundtracks did. Oh yes! I had to have the soundtrack!
