I watched part of "Temptation Island" last night. I am always curious about these people that are willing to play out their lives on national television. It was interesting. Weird...and interesting. We had a big discussion today at lunch over it's controversy. It's getting a lot of critcism for being too shocking. Some feel that "The idea that it is sport and amusement to see if one can destroy a relationship for the purpose of securing ratings and profit is just unacceptable,"
Now I admit, this is not wholesome TV (is that an oxymoron?). One might even say it is deplorable, manipulative and wrong. But I have to stand by the fact that noone forced these people onto the show! And if a couple can't handle the pressures that a TV production throws at them...maybe they didn't have a very good relationship. There are worse trials in real life that couples have to overcome.
Personally Temptation Island for me would be me on an island with a Krispy Kreme doughnut shop with the "hot doughnuts now" light on 24 hours a day. Heeeeee.
