When we had brunch at Butapub, I immediately honed in on the red bean croissant on the menu. I grew up eating red bean buns with my mom. Aaron and I split one and it was delicious. Turns out the red bean croissant was from a new bakery down the street in the South Wedge called Dragon Sweetie. It required a separate visit to the bakery for a brunch treat. I got my own croissant this time. I love the black sesame seeds on top.
They also have "slider" panini. Aaron got one that was called Kaya Toast. Kaya a coconut jam made from sugar, coconut milk and eggs, pandan (a leaf which I think gives it that green color), and sometimes butter.
