I don't come from a big card giving family. We just didn't do greeting cards when I was a kid. We didn't send out Christmas cards either. I do remember my dad getting my mom and I each a Valentines Day card though - I have an awesome one with cuts of meat saying things like "You're Grade A!" and "You're the best, no baloney!" (I have just about every card I have ever recieved by the way)
I am into Christmas cards now... because i make them myself. A lot of thought and work goes into those each year. I have a tough time with other cards though. I just can't find ones that say what I want to in a way that sounds like me. Pair that with a design that I like and it's tough to find the perfect card.
A couple nights ago I was perusing the card aisle when I spied this collection. (MAYBE if you are a person who typically gets a card from me on certain occasions you SHOULDN'T look below!)
I like what they say and even the quirky typeface they use. I like the doodles and layers of design elements.
I like the photos and the colors.
I like the use of kittens and pugs.
They are just so ME. And then I saw who wrote them. TAYLOR SWIFT! Not that I have anything against Taylor Swift - I just never would have guessed.
So there you have it. The cutest darn greeting cards won me over. I bought a stack of them for every occasion for the rest of the year!
what store did u get them from???
ReplyDeleteI got them at Wegmans.
ReplyDeleteThose are so fun! Who would have thought Taylor Swift would make adorable greeting cards?!
ReplyDeleteDamn that Taylor Swift! She is just dumping her cuteness on everything and I can't escape her!!
ReplyDeletethat you+me graphic isn't original to that card. it's been around with the bikes for a few years now.
ReplyDeletei like the idea of it!
awfully cute cards :) I'm inspired!
ReplyDeleteA while back I was looking for a greeting card for a friend. I had zero luck finding what I was looking for. I told a group of friends about this problem one night while we were having a few drinks. We proceeded to get smashed and make up a bunch of greeting cards we found funny. I had been writing down the cards we made up and the next morning I read them. Much to my surprise the cards were still funny even when sober.
