On our way to the beach we made our traditional stop at Sonic. Doesn't seem like a big deal, but despite the fact Sonic commercials run on our TV stations all the time there aren't any in the Rochester area. This is the only time of year I get an infamous Sonic Cherry Limeade.
The commercials are on in Chicago, too and I haven't seen one here in the three years I've lived here. I have to wait until I go home to Texas to get a Cherry LImeade.
My bf's family goes to the Outer Banks every year, too, and for the last two summers, I have joined them. We've made Sonic part of our ritual - it breaks up the 16 hour drive from Mass.! The commercials have aired here for years, but the first Sonic opened up last year out in the 'burbs, and it is a delicious treat! Enjoy your vacay!
