While I was on my way to a conference in Boston this week (well, in proximity to Boston) I spotted a sign for a cranberry bog. I had a little time to spare and visions of oceans of berries danced in my head so I went to check it out.
Well apparently September is cranberry season so all I saw were dried up empty bogs. Not a single cranberry in sight. Disapointment.
I did take a few nice pictures of the wetlands.
What gorgeous pictures - the colours of the leaves on the trees are beautiful.
ReplyDeleteIt looks so serene and picturesque at the cranberry bogs (sans cranberries). Great pics!
ReplyDeleteI really really like the "trees" one.
ReplyDeleteI was really excited when I saw that first photo of the bog sign. I like the Ocean Spray ads of the guys in the bog. Ah well. Another time. Love that last photo.
ReplyDeleteForgot to mention earlier, but I am adoring the honeycrisp banner.
ReplyDeleteThat is so cool...Our leaves are not yet turning here in Jersey....and i believe Jersey is one of the largest cranberry producers, but hell if i know where the bogs are..i will have to check it out! Happy Fall!
ReplyDeleteI agree, they're not much to look at this time of year, but the scenery and the scent of the crisp fall air make up for it IMHO.
