Starbucks was giving away samples of their new signature hot chocolates, regular, hazelnut and salted caramel. I tried the salted caramel and almost passed out cold. The salty with the sweet... it is sooooo good.
As with all seasonal featured drinks, I am already panicking about the day they don't have it anymore.
YIPPIE!
ReplyDeleteMmmm. Salted Caramel. One of my favorite chocolates. If they're anything like the Salted Caramels from Fran's I'll be in heaven. I hope the Starbucks here have it! If not, that will be the first stop when we land at Dulles November 1st. Thanks for the tip. I probably would have missed it otherwise.
ReplyDeletei agree - if you've never tried the salted caramels from fran's, jenny, you totally need to.

OOoOh I MUST try one of these!
ReplyDeleteI've been curious about the salted caramel...
ReplyDeleteThough it's been gone for years, I still miss the Starbucks Rhumba Frappuccino. On a slightly different note, what's up with the lack of fun Starbucks Halloween merchandise this year?
Lori + trish - what is Frans?
ReplyDeletesandy - what is in a Rhumba Frappuccino? I did see one bear in a pumpkin outfit... that was all.

As special as your cashmere sweater.
ReplyDeleteOmg... salted caramel?! I hope they introduce it in M'sia soon!!
ReplyDeleteI read this post yesterday, spent all night wishing I had chocolate in my house (because I wasn't going out in the rain to get some) and stopped at Starbucks for a salted caramel hot chocolate first thing this morning...
ReplyDeleteLong story short: LIQUID HEAVEN.
Jenny, Rhumba was a super tasty frappuccino flavor that Starbucks did away with a few years ago. I recall being told by a Starbucks employee that it was too difficult for Starbucks to keep it in stock. Maybe it's still available in Canada... yum!
ReplyDeleteFrom Wikipedia:
Rhumba Blended Coffee - Coffee base with chocolatey-coffee chips. Discontinued in the US, still available overseas.
The rhumba frapp is still Starbucks best. If it is available out of the US, please someone let me know where. When I went home to the Philippines in July 2003, they had it there but, alas, it is also discontinued there now. Nothing Starbucks has now comes even close.
