It's grilling season again! We were picking up the steaks at Wegmans when we tried a sample of grilled baby portabella mushrooms and grape tomatoes. I think we have a new favorite summer side dish.
I am also into cooking our corn on the cob on the grill wrapped in foil.
Sounds tasty! We busted our grill out of hibernation this weekend as well but only made burgers. I'll have to give the tomato / mushroom combo a try.
ReplyDeleteI cut a pint of grape tomatoes in half, and put them in a foil packet with either pesto or kosher salt, herbes de provence, and some olive oil. Throw it on the grill for a few minutes and YUM.
ReplyDeleteYou can also soak unhusked ears of corn in water, then put them on the grill whole. The water absorbed into the husks steams the corn, and you get some smoky flava too.
ReplyDeleteCheers!
Yum. Way to make me hungry while I'm stuck at work. Surely you are ready for spring and/or summer and are planning to replace that masthead with Oscar spelling flowers. :)
ReplyDeleteWe have also taken our grill out of winter hiatus. Last week we BBQed on Tuesday (ribs and veggie skewers) and Sunday (homemade Turkey hamburgers) We love to grill and like to try new things. If you have not tried it gilled pizza is amazing.
ReplyDeleteAdios!
What did you put in the mushroom/grape tomato? Any spices?
ReplyDeleteLooks easy & yummy!
