I was in an accident this morning. I am fine, but the bug might not make it.

I have heard of bad things happening in threes. Is there any scientific reasoning to this? Last week my good friend Aprille had to have surgery... add to that Ernie and this morning's incident and I am wondering.

    Oh no! I'm glad you are ok, but I'm so sorry to hear about the bug. :(

    I have an RSS feed of local 911 incidents on my Google page (I'm paranoid like that; like to know if my house is burning down and all), and I was just remarking that there seemed to be a ton of accidents today. I'm so sorry you were in one of them! I hope the three bad things are well and done by now. That sucks.

    Poor thing. :( I'm glad to hear you're OK though.

    I think sometimes "bad things happening in threes" is because of the lower or weaker "chi" around people when they feel low or sad. Relax, rest, get well and feel better soon, and things will get better and good things will happen.

    Sorry to hear about your bug. Glad you came out of it OK, though. My dad wrecked a bug when he was younger and the front end of it caught on fire. My grandma and grandpa had a blue bug when I was a kid. I love bugs. They are easy to get attached to because they are so cute. Hope you'll not miss it too much. Maybe you can get a new one?

    Sorry to hear about your accident, but very glad you are ok. I had a horrible accident in October 05 (when I lived in Vegas) and everyone thought my car wouldnt make it. But it did.
    It's a jetta.

    Melissa- Where did you get the RSS feed of local 911 incidents? I used to have one of those on my google page for Roch but then it disappeared. Thanks.

    Yes, bad things do seem to come in multiples of 3. I hope that this morning's accident was the last of the 3 for you.

    Hey Jenny, I've been readin your blog for about 6 mos now and always thought that we had quite a bit in common. One being our bugs. I was actually in a car accident last september, I had a little yellow bug, my first car. A f-250 diesel hit me going about 65 mph at an intersection on the way to work. I'm only 19 so it was very traumatic for me. I was also alright with only air bag burns but my little baby took a bullet for me. ;-) Sounds like yours did too. I was fortunate to get ahold of my bug since I'm a receptionist a car dealership but was unable to find another one around here so I ended up getting a ford focus(work at a ford dealership lol) So my advice to you would be to be positive and keep in mind that that little vw saved your life, and you should really consider getting another one. I would have and will definately be getting another one in a few years. I don't know about you, but I loved my little bug so much that I really didn't even picture myself ever driving anything else other than one ;-)

    I totally believe in that bad luck comes in threes...my life is a total example of it. Its even has gone as far as being in a car accident (same type and also not my fault) three years in a row and within the same month and even the same week. totally sucks...but just think out of every bad situation something new comes out of it. You were saying you wanted a pink bug?

    Thank goodness you're okay! Car accidents can be traumatic. I totaled my mother's nice car years ago and was in a state of shock for days afterward. Fortunately no one was injured, but the car was a total loss. I hope you're able to pick out another bug or a cute mini-cooper once the insurance is worked out. Take care!

    Sorry to hear about the accident. When that saying is true, in our culture we break something, to end the bad streak. I know it sounds nuts, but if you have a spare glass item... Try it out...
