I have never made poached eggs, but I bet I would like them. I have read that it is hard to make poached eggs. NotMartha has written extensively on the subject.
I spotted these PoachPods at Wegmans and I am wondering how they would do. Anyone out there tried them? They sure are cute.
oh poached eggs are the yummiest. I'd say they would be the most popular style in Australia. Highly recommended :D
ReplyDeleteI got a couple of "Poach Pods" for Christmas, and now I'm seeing them everywhere!
ReplyDeleteThe first time I used them, I had to cook the eggs MUCH longer than the instructions said, but I haven't given up hope of making perfectly poached eggs! :-)
Plus, the pods are just snifty looking. :-)
We have some poach pods and LOVE them - they are so easy. Just be sure to spray them with a little Pam first and your egg will slip right out.
ReplyDeleteThat seems like way too much work for poached eggs. I'm not a pro at poaching them, but they're a lot easier than you'd think. I just boil the water, lower it to a simmer, make a swirl, drop the egg in, and wait for it to get done.
ReplyDeleteI use a metal egg poacher all the time - it's so fast and easy. It's not nearly as cute as these are though. ;)
ReplyDeleteThese work great--the Pam suggestion is right and read the directions about timing--our eggs were perfect the first time in about 5 minutes.
ReplyDeleteI use the boiling water method, too. It's not that hard, and adding a splash of white vinegar helps them turn out.
