This year my theme was "A Woodland Christmas". I was inspired by my collection of plastic deer... and the fact Aaron could make mushrooms and acorns on his lathe.
I was able to use the Woodland Creatures craft supplies from Martha's Craft line at Michaels.
Here is what the wrapped teacup candles looked like. Quick and easy to put together. Here are some more pictures of how I put them together.
I'm always so excited to see your Christmas gifts and theme each year!
ReplyDeleteAdorable - as always! I wish I could be your friend and get your great gifts! ;-)
Merry Christmas!
So cool...I gotta get my act together and actually do all the projects I think of. :D Great job!
ReplyDeletewow! the acorns and mushrooms are too amazing!!! I love martha's "woodland" Christmas things (there used to be some really wonderful things back when the MS mailorder catalog was still around). Last year I did my dining room light fixture up with lots of ornaments of pinecones and acorns and things..
ReplyDeleteIf Aaron ever wants to sell one of his acorn creations can you please post it on your blog? My teenager has this weird fascination with acorns and has ever since she was a little kid. It's not unusual for me to find acorns in her jean pockets or in the side pockets of my car doors. On her dresser in her room she's got a whole little acorn family where she took acorns and drew faces on them. I would love to be able to purchase one of Aaron's acorns for her if he ever wants to sell one.
ReplyDeleteThanks everyone.
ReplyDeleteAaron and I are seriously considering an Etsy shop now!
I am also very excited to see your Christmas gifts and theme every year!
ReplyDeleteljc - where do you get your boxes? You've inspired me to get my act together for Christmas every year!
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
I think this is your best Christmas project yet. I'm impressed.
ReplyDeleteI always look forward to your themes! I especially like the packaging--can I ask where you got the kraft boxes and the string?
ReplyDeletenancy and e.marie - I got the boxes at Michaels and the string I ordered online. I don't remember exactly where, but if you google "bakers twine" you will find places that sell it online.
ReplyDeleteI just love the acorn and mushrooms! You and your husband are both so very creative!
