Today we went to pick up MY NEW SCOOTER! It took us awhile to find one that was small enough for me and we decided on a Buddy. And I got it in pink! I can hardly stand it.
I have to get my insurance and registration and then Aaron is taking me out to practice riding. I am guessing that since I now have it... it will rain the rest of the week... I'm pretty sure.
We picked up my scooter from a shop by Ithaca, so we spent the afternoon there and had dinner at Moosewood to celebrate the new the new scooter.
Pictures of the new scooter and our afternoon in Ithaca are on My Gallery.

Wow nice scooter. Unfortunately, every time in recent years that I have made the trip to Ithaca to eat at Moosewood I have been utterly disappointed.
ReplyDeleteLast time I was served bland and tasteless food.
It seems when Molly Katzen left, so did the flavors at Moosewood.
Congrats! Have you named her yet? My Malaguti Yesterday has the name Bettie. I don't think a scooter's a scooter without a good name. :)
ReplyDeleteit's so cute! i commented on your photo on flickr, but thought i would also comment here... have fun riding! takes me back to when i used to have a bright orange vespa in the 80s. i wish i still had it.
ReplyDeleteAW the Pink is so cute!!! May I ask what size your seatbelt bag is?
ReplyDeletekelly - I am so glad you enjoy my blog! Comments like that keep me going!
ReplyDeletekim - the first time I went to Moosewood it was a bit bland, but the last time Aaron had a delicious avocado pita and this time my mushroom and cheese in phylo dough was AMAZING!
anonymous - I am not sure what "size" it is... do they say it somewhere inside? If I had to come up with something I would say medium?
Congratulations--I love your scooter! I had a red Yamaha scooter in college and really enjoyed it. In Texas, where I live, a scooter that size is categorized as a motorcycle, so legally I should have gotten a motorcycle license (but never did, and fortunately never got pulled over). Do you need a motorcycle driver's license in NY?
ReplyDeleteMandy - in NY state they are categorized by speed. Mine is restricted to 35 mph so I do not need a motorcycle license for it.
ReplyDeleteI love it! I'm actually a little bit jealous. Enjoy it.
ReplyDeleteOh wow, that is so awesome! I want one!!!!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations!! It's so adorable in pink!! I'm totally envious.
ReplyDeleteHi,
ReplyDeleteLove your scooter! I'm awaiting my pink scooter, I will get it tomorrow and my hubby will also teach me how to drive:-) The similarity's in our stories made me laugh:-)
greetings, Jessica from Holland
