It's really sad when the ice cream truck comes to our
neighborhood. Aaron and I practically knock each other down trying to
get out the front door when we hear the truck bells. Check out my
bubble gum popscicle.
The ice cream truck always reminds me of a skit from an Eddie Murphy stand up show (Raw?), where he's talking about when they were kids and would hear the bell and start screaming like maniacs, "MOOOOOM, THE ICE CREAM TRUCK IS COMING!!!!!! THROW ME SOME MOOONNNEEEEYYY!!!!!!!"
vorite ice cream truck memories is being about 3..and looking out the window of our apartment on Flower City Park, watching my very young mom, glide across the lawn in her bathrobe and slippers in the summer twilight, change in hand to buy me an ice cream. I am almost 50, and I can still feel it.
Oh, I miss the ice cream truck! One came around our neighborhood when we were kids. My brother always got the Mickey Mouse (vanilla face, chocolate covered ears), but my favorite was something called a blue ghost - pale blue ice cream with dark blue eyes. The ice cream truck is the only place I've ever seen them.
How cute are you?!!!
