Today at the dairy we bought a carton of creme brulee mix. All you have to do is pour it into ramekins and bake it. Brilliant! Aaron sprinkled sugar on top and melted it with a little kitchen blow torch thingy to make the crispy top.
The nice thing about going to the dairy in the winter... we can put the milk in the pile of snow in the back of the truck and it stays cold on the way home.
Yes! Finally, an excuse to go back to the dairy! Our creme brulee torch (wedding gift) is still in the box after 5 years. Eherm.
ReplyDeleteLooks yummy! But to protect your milk, you should cover it with something opaque. Seriously, try putting a glass of milk in a sunny window sill for a few minutes, take a sip and then wait for the after taste. Something in the milk reacts badly with the UV rays.
ReplyDeleteYes, I am a freak. But had to spread the word :)
