It is almost fall and Rochester area ice cream shops are now offering pumpkin frozen custard. It is something to look forward to all year long.
However, I decided I cannot be at the mercy of the seasons when it comes to ice cream and found a recipe so I can make my own pumpkin ice cream at home.
This could be a bad thing.
Yea, fall is bad for pumpkin stuff. I keep going back to Einstein Bros to pick up "just one more" tub of their pumpkin cream cheese ... YUM.
ReplyDeleteWas your cone as big as Chuck's when you started? I'm pretty sure he's working on a three-scooper!
ReplyDeletemmmmmmmmmmmmm, I love Ritter's Frozen Custard in Pumpkin!!! Yummy!
ReplyDeleteLooks like goodberry's has pumpkin next weekend!
ReplyDeleteThe big thing with goodberry's is the concrete... you ask for plain custard and they look at you like you're nuts. Speaking of nuts, I bet pecans or walnuts would be good in the pumpkin custard... mmm
Sarah - no I had a two scooper... one scoop of pumpkin and one scoop of grape... which was delicious also!
ReplyDeleteCute hair and cute necklace!
ReplyDeletePumpkin ICe Cream with gingerbread cake and caramel sauce is one of life's great pleasures!
ReplyDeleteYum! I love fall.
I have never had pumpkin custard, but it sounds delicious! I recently had Schlafly Pumpkin Beer (Schlafly is a St. Louis brewery) and that was phenomenal. Pumpkin bread is also a favorite of mine.
