Shruti just informed me of a spot in NYC that I am adding to my list of "must visit".
Max Brenner's Chocolate Bar features chocolate foods and drinks. They even use specially designed cups for their drinks. Hug Mug is shaped for holding cozily in two hands. Suckao has a candle underneath to melt the thick drinking chocolate it holds. Alice is "the ultimate milkshake cup".
I can hardly look at these without getting the chocolate shakes. Must - have - chocolate!
I love Max Brenner's! Here in Australia I discovered Max Brenner's on a trip to Melbourne and any susequent trips back ALWAYS include some time allocated for Max... It's an experience.
ReplyDeleteMmmm....now i have to go find some nice chocolate!
i'll..never..need..sex..again.
ReplyDeleteBecareful. You may start falling in love with bald men after a trip to Max Brenner. It's definitely a Sydney favourite of mine. Great to see it in NYC! Mmm chocolate licks :)
ReplyDeleteMan! I was doing so good on avoiding too many extra sweets (yesterday's 1/2 a treat at the market was the exception) this week! Now I need a malted. Or a black raspberry hot fudge sundae.
ReplyDelete*Panic!*
Oh, I love the hug mug! In my opinion, half the hot-beverage experience is warming your hands cosily around the mug. I really need a mug like that!
ReplyDeleteyou should try the frrrozen hot chocolate by serendipity! been coveting one since i saw it on oprah's favorite things years in a row. now they sell it at williams-sonoma, mmmmmmmmmmmmmm!
ReplyDeleteThat man is a genius! He'll sell a million bars :)
ReplyDeleteDo they sell the mugs?
Erika - yeah, Tina and I had the frozen hot chocolate at Serendipity years ago... after the movie came out I think! I bought a can of it to make at home too... very tasty.
ReplyDeleteKim - looks like the Austrailian site catalog sells the mugs, so maybe they sell them at the bar?
Oh, cool! Those sound delish. Also, I just have to say, I love your new banner. I can smell the sea from here.
ReplyDeletemmmmm I'm a Max Brenner addict! Although I always over-indulge and leave feeling very ill. I never learn though! It really is toooooooooo yum.
ReplyDeletethis just isn't fair. we need at least one more bald man in England!! I am decidedly jealous.
ReplyDeleteAh.. I went crazy at Max Brenner when I went down to melbourne a while back. He makes DELICIOUS LIP LICKING CHOCOLATE. You should try the suckao. Its to die for.
ReplyDeleteWe were just there this past weekend. Not that impressed with the chocolate itself... some of the flavors were interesting(orchid tasted like a rose, I swear), but if you are really excited about GOOD chocolate check out Jacques Torres. BEST CHOCOLATE EVER.
