It must be my month for tables. I found this one at a yard sale for three dollars. Not as good as free, but after a scrub down with Method wood cleaner, it is an interesting little table.
I like the "handle" on the back. I am guessing it was a telephone table with the cubby hole for a phone book?
CUTE! Oh how I love yard sales.... *sigh*
ReplyDeleteThat's a cute table! You must have great sales around there. Are you going to paint this one too?
ReplyDeleteI envy you! It's impossible to find any quirky/unique furniture where I come from. Equally impossible to find any yard sale happening in this part of the world where people aren't receptive to 2nd hand things. Sigh. I love your newfound green table! Very fun colour, like the rest of your house. =)
ReplyDeleteI don't think I will paint it just yet... the finish doesn't look too bad... rustic even... but the call of color does beckon!
ReplyDeleteIs there a before pic?
ReplyDeleteMeredith - no... it was in pretty good shape... didn't look that different from this pic.
ReplyDeleteLucky you! I love what you did with the green one.
ReplyDeleteI just came accross your site, and love every bit of your writing! Hope you don't mind me linking to you. Drop by my place sometime for a chat! :o)
I know you've blogged about Method stuff before, but is that wood cleaner? Is it any good? I'm almost out of wood cleaner. I just bought the grapefruit-smelling disposable cleaning cloths and I looooooove them.
ReplyDeleteAck! My parents have a set of those tables!
ReplyDeleteSara - the Method wood cleaner smells like almond macaroons!
ReplyDeleteOoh la la! I'll have to pick some up.
