I just received an email informing me one of my favorite bands, Twin-A is breaking up. Really stinks. Flashback to when I was into the band Splashdown... they broke up too.
The only bit of joy on the horizon is Guster releasing their new CD this month. Hurrah!
Guster's website says they are playing on a cruise with Bare Naked Ladies next January. How great would that be? *sigh* I may just have to be satsified with catching them at High Falls on August 9th.
In case you hadn't caught them, there were a bunch of promos for Joe's Place (http://www.guster.com/joesplace/) that included snippets of new music. The first episode is also now available.
ReplyDeleteI, too, am/was a fan of Splashdown and was disappointed by their break-up. However, Splashdown lead singer Melissa Kaplan fronts the band Universal Hall Pass. (www.universalhallpass.com)
ReplyDeleteIf you haven't heard them or of them, I highly recommend you check them out!!
Oh my word- my favorite type of vacation mixed with 2 of my favorite bands??? I gotta figure out a way to be on this boat!
ReplyDeleteGuster just released their 'One Man Wrecking Machine' EP at independent music stores Tuesday. It's a good preview for what is on the album.
ReplyDeleteI have been a fan of your site for a long time but I didn't know you were a fan of Twin-A. The guys are good friends of mine and I designed their fan site, http://www.madetoshine.com.
ReplyDeleteI am sad to see that they are folding but John is moving forward to new ventures. I have tons of bootlegs if you would like some.
