Someone tipped me off in my comments that Method was making air fresheners. Sure enough, they have plug ins, sprays and candles in several different scents. The product design for all of them is very nice.

Being a Method Fanatic, I went to Target and got the room spray and plug in pill in grapefruit + pear. The spray is great... but I find myself constantly checking to see if I can smell the pill... it didn't work right away so now I am suspicious of it. I ask Aaron all the time "Do you smell anything?"

  1. I have the eucalyptus+mint pill and it works great in my kitchen. It took about 10 minutes from plugging it in to when I could really smell it, but now there is a nice constant fragrance. I wonder if you just got a defective one...maybe return it to Target and try a new one?

  2. I got the one that is called "fresh water". It's very Ylang Ylang-ey.(not my favorite scent). My target has re-fills for the plug in so I think I might switch it out for the grapefruit pear.

Mine takes about 5 min. to work.

  3. I went to their website and was disappointed to see that all the scents I love are paired with ones that I either don't like or bother my nose. Like lavender (which makes me ill) with lemongrass (which I love). No Method air fresheners for me. :(

  4. i have the grapefruit pear unit with the fan, i forget what it was called. i've never had much luck with those pill things. my MIL had one, and it smelled like cake batter, but you could only smell it if you were sitting right in front of it. the fan capsule thingy works very well and the scent is not perfumy like a lot of other things are. it's light, too. i stopped by to get one for my office on the way to work the other day, and i'm SO glad i did.

  5. Jenny, this has absolutely nothing to do with today's post. I am in such severe heartache after euthanizing my most dear friend, Zoey. I was hoping that you might have some suggestions for resources regarding pet loss. I don't know where to turn. I put my kitty to sleep on Thursday, 4pm. I have been in agonizing pain since then. I have already read 2 books on the subject of pet loss, but nothing is helping me. The whole,"she is in a better place" is kind, but not at all helpful when dealing with the loss of a beloved family member. Please help.

  6. To "Anonymous" who is dealing with the loss of her cat: You have probably already tried this, but if not - If you type in "dealing with pet loss" on Google, you will get a lot of hits. I found a bunch of sites that offer on-line support and discussion groups. You will probably have to try a couple different ones to find one that feels comfortable for you. Me and my two cats send our condolences and some kitty mojo your way.

  7. Anonymous,

I am so sorry to hear about your Zoey. I agree with Jennifer... try googling for some internet sites. As for me the only thing that works is crying until I can't anymore. And... this may sound horrible... but getting another kitty might help... I know it sounds bad, like you are replacing the pet you lost... but in my opinion, animals are the best at making you feel better and the new kitty will help you remember why you loved Zoey so much and why it is worth having them in your life. But only do what you are ready for. Hugs.

  8. This is exciting. I wasn't aware of the new Method products. Thanks for the heads-up! I'm going to have to check for them soon.
