Last week was my grandma's birthday and in addition to the electric kettle I got her, I knit her a dishcloth. That is pretty funny because she is the one that taught me how to knit them.
I love making these dishcloths because they are quick and easy. They are addictive to make. I usually have two or three on needles. You can never have enough dishcloths!
i LOVE knitting dishcloths. You should check out www.knittingknonsense.com . She has the patterns for ABC dishcloths. I'm making them and sewing them together now for a blanket for my boys.
ReplyDeleteMy mother-in-law has gives us dozens of them, but I wished she shopped for yarn at the same place you do :)
ReplyDeleteMay just be me but they seem to clean better too.
ReplyDeleteI'm currently working on a dishcloth with the same yarn (yellow, blue, and green variety)!
ReplyDeleteIt's nice to get a preview of my future completed project!
Don't you just love the colors?
Dishcloths are so much fun! Plus, it's a great way to work on techniques without commiting to a huge project.
ReplyDeleteI really need to try knitting again. :0(
ReplyDeletedo you usually weave in the ends or just tie off & cut?
ReplyDeletei'm never sure what to do with dishclothes.
