Aaron found this letter to Santa...
There are several things that crack me up. First off... this kid is quite the pop culture maven. Second... holy joly. Third...how quickly they have become friends... from "my name is..." to "your friend". Fourth... the signature painstakingly scripted. Fifth... so nice to enquire after the wife. Sixth... kids love to tack on extra P.S's.
I would love to find more of these. Don't worry Tyler... you may have left your list lying in a store, but I am sure Santa reads blogs.
oh my gosh, that was so funny! You should send that into found magazine! (found.com)
ReplyDeleteI love finding notes at the grocery store.. and it's nice of you to think of Tyler.
ReplyDeleteHi Jenny,
ReplyDeleteI second junkyardlove's suggestion to send Tyler's letter to Found!(But I think it's now foundmagazine.com) Like many others who commented on yesterday's post, I've lurked for years with nary a comment. I read ljcfyi almost daily, because you remind me of the great fun opportunities that are around us all the time. You are an inspiration year-round to enjoy life to the fullest. Thanks!

I love that he remembered people less fortunate than himslef! :)
ReplyDeleteKids are great!
If you don'a lready know about it you have to go to foundmagazine.com - they have just this sort of thing! You should even submit that great letter!
ReplyDeleteYou can have the Postal Service send you some Santa letters and then you can send those kids presents anonymously.
ReplyDeleteI have been collecting people's grocery lists that I find around the store for the past 5 years. I must have about 200 of them. They are too funny!
ReplyDeletethis is so funny!
ReplyDelete...and he wrote P.S.S.
ReplyDeleteAs in 'Post Script Script' instead of P.P.S.
What a cute bugger!
That is the cutest letter to santa ever! I love that he asked how Mrs. Claus is...what a gentleman!
ReplyDeletep.s. for some reason i am envisioning a little kid with ryan cabrera hair...
When I wrote my own letters to Santa many years ago, I always asked about Mrs. Claus. Not so much to be gentlemanly but to garner favor with THE man.

You can answer letters that kids have written to Santa through the Post Office's "Operation Santa Claus"...
ReplyDeleteI just came back from reading through the letters NYC's main post office and it is so hard to choose just one.
You can go to the post office at 33rd + 8th (9-4:30 M T W F; 9-7 Thurs and to 10-4 Saturday) or call them and they will send you a letter: 212-330-3000.
I just saw another phone number for Operation Santa Claus, if you are interested...

ReplyDeleteI have a few of these letters on my website. I got them e-mailed from a friend. Please save them out of the Photo Album under Letters to Santa.
ReplyDeleteUm... 'holy joly' nothing beats that.
ReplyDeleteI used to remember when I wrote some letter to santa, to bring a lot of good things but overall to bring me such a blessing that I wont never forget, health and love.
