Three snacky jacks from the pumpkin patch and one straggler from my garden were ruthlessly carved for their yummy seeds. The results are sitting out on my front porch.

For those of you that have not heard my rantings about snack jack pumpkins (I call them snacky), they have hulless, nutty, delectable seeds for roasting. If you ever run into one at your local pumpkin patch, buy it, roast the seeds and relish the deliciousness.

  5. These remind me of the ones that Martha Stewart made today. I guess intricately carved pumpkins are now "out" :)

  14. Oh my gosh. I'm glad you said something. My boyfriend brought me that same type of pumpkin, and I said, "Is that a snacky jack?!" He said "Snacky? Snack-y??"

I thought that was what they were called, because I remembered you calling them that last year. hehe.
