These are maybe not the most stylish shoes, but they are the most comfortable! Everyone in my family wears them (we all have standing-up jobs) and we'll never go back! They have lots of colors too! Crocs
Yes! Clarks all the way! They are known for being freakishly comfortable. I even heard a friend of a friend's walking problems went away after wearing them.
jjill.com has some cute shoes. Some are pretty dorky but when your dogs bark like mine, dorky but comfortable are the way to go. Anything but sneakers (except Chuck's, of course!)
Dansko or Keen. I do a lot of walking and highly recommend both brands. Zappos has a pretty good selection, but you can find them in shoe stores fairly easy too.
I know that I am putting my two cents in kind of late, but I love these shoes so much I have to support the Dansko shoes. I have 4 pair and every one of them is super comfortable. I took my Marcelles (http://www.shoedawg.com/proddetail.php?prod=320-040c&cat=49) to Italy, along with my professionals http://www.shoedawg.com/proddetail.php?prod=206-020c&cat=49)
I wore the Marcelles the entire trip. This includes climbing uncountable numbers of steps, hills, beaches, etc. I also used to wear them all of the time when I had a job where I was on my feet all of the time. They truly do wonders for your feet. Plus, they are slip-ons.
I'm with the Dansko people. I wore these http://www.shoedawg.com/proddetail.php?prod=2003-0224&cat=59 every day for a week in Paris. They're kind of pricy, but they wear well -- mine are more than a year old and are still in great shape.
As a former NYC walker who spent at least an hour after work wandering the streets, I have to say that nothing beats a pair of Merrills. There are so many styles to suit your fancy and my last pair lasted for nearly a year, with nothing but happy feet for me.

ReplyDeletePumas, of course.

ReplyDeleteBorns or Danskos are the way to go and both have stylish options and colors.
ReplyDeleteCole Haan has a line of shoes that are made for comfort using nike's "nike air" technology. (I think the sandals are especially cute.)

I honestly love Dansko shoes.
