So I will be in NYC for the next few days, so I wrote up some posts and Aaron is going to publish them for me. I got such great suggestions from readers, I thought I would share a few of them.
Pearl River got quite a few votes. It looks a lot like the big Chinese mall in Toronto. I have to remember I can't fit twenty paper lanterns in my carryon. Wonder if they have Hello Kitty stuff like the Toronto mall?
They don't have many hello kity items.. but some sanrio candy and other do dads...
ReplyDeleteI'm just curious, where in Toronto is the big Chinese mall?
ReplyDeleteThere is a Sanrio store in Times Square that you can get some Hello Kitty gear at.
ReplyDeleteRegarding food, I say go to Chowhound and check out some of the frequent posts about where to eat while visiting NYC. But as a NYer, I say Lupa, Katz's, Criff Dog's, John's of Bleeker Street, Kee's Chocolates are some worthy considerations. You check out the menus for alot of restaurants at menupages.com.
Have fun!
I think Jenny means the Pacific Mall.

It is pretty cool! Lots of unique things!
I ♥ Pearl River. You're gonna have so much fun. NYC is the best.
ReplyDeletei'm pretty sure jenny's referring to pacific mall in toronto and the adjacent market village. pearl river (i haven't been there before, but browsed online) looks to be more old-style chinese souvenirs, like cheungsam and tea sets. i would look up morning glory as they have some big shops of high-quality korean stationery/paraphernalia. but i wouldn't know where it is in nyc.
ReplyDeleteAwesome! Thanks for the link on the Pacific Mall. I think I need to make a roadtrip now.
