Aaron is not what I would call an avid sports fan. We are planning a trip to NYC this summer and I was looking into Yankee's tickets. He was excited and all "Go Yankees!". Then I brought him home a Red Sox baseball cap from Boston and now he is wearing it around the house and saying he wants to go see Fever Pitch again. This is a conflict of interest is it not?
Yay Red Sox! Boo Yankees! :)
ReplyDeleteYou can't cheer for both.. Bad Yankees!!! Red Sox All The Way!!!
ReplyDeleteAs someone who recently learned to accept baseball into her life, I have to say GO WITH THE SOX. The Yankees are the evil overlords of baseball. Do not cross over to the dark side! :)
ReplyDeleteYou can't love them both. I suggest the Red Sox, they have the cutest players.
ReplyDeleteAs a female Red Sox fanatic since a young age, you know who I say Aaron must root for! My DH is (was) exactly like Aaron and completely anti-sports...until I took him to a game a few years back. Now he's hooked and watches it every night and can't wait for the season to start.
ReplyDeleteIf at all possible, I say try and get to a game at Fenway in Boston. A completely unique experience from any other ballpark!
Definitely go for the Sox. They are the best. GO RED SOX!!!
ReplyDeleteStick with the Sox. Boo the Yankees, I've come to the conclusion that Yankee fans are almost always NYers. I've never met a Yankees fan that wasn't from NY.
ReplyDeleteWe are also not avid sports fans here at my house, so I guess I'm missing something. Why are we not supposed to like both? I mean, if I went to New York to a Yankees game I'd cheer for them. Same thing if I was in Boston. It reminds me of my little cousin who used to tell me that I couldn't like both N Sync and Backstreet Boys. I had to be one fan or the other. I chose neither.
ReplyDeleteYou really can't like both teams-- it goes against the unwriten rule of "The Rivalry"
ReplyDeleteThe Yankees vs Sox Rivalry is so heated that when Yankee fans get bused into Fenway they have to route the buses to a different gate just to avoid scrumages.
My Advice... you always want to root for the underdog! ;-)
