When this writer's mom was diagnosed with cancer, he created a comic strip about the experience.
I loved comic books as a kid, and as I have grown older developed a respect for graphic novels. I even had a visual semiotics class in grad school where we read "Understanding Comics" by Scott McCloud. You may want some tissues close by, but this is very well done and worth the read.
