I am exhausted. We had exactly three hundred trick or treaters this evening. I ran out of candy and started giving them the rubber snakes and bugs I had gotten for the party food table.
Note the creepy stretched plastic bag garland on the front door. Combine that with a black light, fog machine and some scarey music and you get some kids too scared to come up the front steps.
Since the movies projected on the sheet could be seen through the sheet outside, I played some old Casper cartoons too.
300!!! Wow I guess that was not too scary that you got that many kids. Impressive and tiring:)
ReplyDeleteYou never cease to amaze me.
ReplyDeleteI wanted to do the trash bag thing, but all we have are white trash bags. There's nothing scary about white plastic . . . unless we're talking about Ben Affleck's teeth.
300? I am so jealous. We only were visited by 2 kids and on Saturday to boot! Not even on the real Halloween Eve! We have yet to properly light our long driveway which probably deterred the kids. Sigh...though many co-workers were happy this morning to delve in on my orphaned candy loot.
ReplyDeleteYou could have had our three massive bags of candy. We didnt get a single trick-or-treater...
ReplyDeleteTheir numbers have dwindled from a record high of five to none. Oh well, we said. More candy for us.
I am so in love with your blog... Adopt Me Please. I am going to put myself up for adoption and I am only going to go home with you. We can work out the fact that I am over 30 and live in Alabama.
ReplyDeleteHi! Mariko/supereggplant here (I should just sign up for a blogger account so I wouldn't have to be anonymous all the time). We had 264 kids before we ran out of candy! I can't believe we ran out. Next year I'm going to decorate the outside of the house more.
ReplyDeleteWhat kind of projector did you use? I have visions of the ones they used in grade school lol. And also, where did you get reels of movies/ cartoons. or did the projector use video tape or something else? I am technologically inept.
ReplyDeleteI was using a borrowed digital projector hooked up to my dvd player. The dvd's came from the $1 value section of Target!
