An eagle eyed reader spotted the red wristband on Tina's wrist in the party pictures. It's a Nike Speed Wristband I got in Canada. The proceeds of the sales go to KidSport Canada, a charity that helps make it possible for underprivileged kids to participate in sports. They are available in Canadian Nike stores.
Awesome! Thanks for replying. :)
ReplyDeleteleave it to nike to take lance armstrong's great idea and hijack it to make a profit. grrr.
ReplyDeletecause you know they aren't giving 100% to the kids...they're evil. evil!
ReplyDeleteKathryn - that's kind of a weird comment. Anything you can point to that supports what you're saying about Nike? And...maybe the red bands are more about getting the word out about supporting kids sports programs than the measly $1 Nike gets for the bracelets.
ReplyDeleteWoah! It feels like deja vu all over again...I feel like I've seen this post before...maybe it was a dream. Jenny, are you as freaked out as I am that I'm dreaming your posts?
ReplyDeleteThe employee at the Nike store said that the $1 you pay for the band goes to the charity and Nike also matches the your $1 donation. Yep... I just checked the web site and it said "I also think this has been around "Every dollar Nike collected for thee Speed Band was matched by Nike Canada and donated to Kid Sport Canada,"
ReplyDeletewhoops. I mean...
