I have a bunch of personalized chopsticks leftover from the wedding and I wasn't sure what to do with them. Then I remembered reading about dessert sushi made from twinkies and ho ho's! They serve them at a NYC restaurant called Mod. I also found a site online that showed how to make rice krispy treat sushi.
So Tina is going to help me whip up a few trays of these for the party and I will set them out with the chopsticks for guests to use and take home.
You should read "The Secret Life of Food" by Clare Crespo. They have a recipe for sushi cupcakes that look so real! Plus, I just think you'd like the recipes...chocolate moose and potato flip-flops...so cool.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your wedding!
Brilliant idea! Even my deathly-allergic-to-seafood-husband-to-be could eat this (if he liked sweets).
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh I have to go to that restaurant. The recipe looks neat. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteJenny, did you see this?

And one question...are you going to be ljt now? It seems so...strange!
I'm kind of known around my small town for wearing my chopsticks in my hair. I've got about 12 different colored pairs that are perfect for pulling my long hair up and out of the way...just another idea for you. :) Congrats!
ReplyDeleteeverytime i come here - i'm amazed at the level of crafitness you posess. if i could get 1/10 of that going - i'd be good to go.
ReplyDeleteso i just wanted to thank you (at least I'm pretty sure it was you) for mentioning the Bacon of the Month club. I got every single person i could find to contribute to my Boy's birthday present so that we could afford it for him and the first shipment just came today.
ReplyDeleteand it was the shipment for the entire summer because it's too hot to ship the other months, so four months of bacon at once!
Hello! Just wondering where is a good place to order personalized chopsticks? I am planning my wedding and am looking for a good price to order them. Thanks!
