I learn so much through the comments left on my site. Peanuts in Coca-Cola? Never heard of it! From what I have read this is a traditional Southern treat.
Always ready to try something new... Aaron picked up some Coke (does caffine-free still work?) and peanuts. It wasn't bad. My only thing is the Coke washed the salt off of the nuts and I luuuuv salt. Perhaps it's because I mixed them in a glass and not a bottle. Or because I used Planters Dry Roasted Peanuts.
It was also through my comments that I discovered the literary gem "The Mole Who Knew it Was None of His Business". It's about a mole who wakes up with poo on his head and asks all the animals if they did it. They produce their poo to prove it wasn't. It must have been good, they made it into a stage production!
You should try it with regular salted peanuts....it's pretty good...and use a glass bottled coke.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Drexel, dry-roasted don't work. You have to use regular roasted peanuts. If you're in the South, you would buy Lance brand peanuts. (Don't go 'round hungry!)
