It's warm outside and I am a planting fool! Recent addtions to my yard are a purple lilac bush, a pink rodedendron, a holly bush and a yellow rose bush. Well it's not a rose bush yet... it's three rather sad looking branches. I am skeptical it will actually grow, but everyone says that's how they come.
Aaron also helped me put a ring of edging around the tree between the sidewalk and street. I started some seeds of sunflowers, cosmos, daisys, snapdragons and hollyhocks. I used two wall papering trays to hold the soil pellets. With saran wrap over them for a greenhouse effect, I am hoping for seedlings to transplant outside soon. Aaron insisted on some watermelon too, we'll see how that goes after last years strawberry fiasco.
