A New Journal

Several people have written to me asking if I had heard the news about Blogger and if my site will be going down. Yes, Blogger had some bad news, but I will keep posting here.

Pyra, the company that makes Blogger, has laid off all it's employees save one, the CEO. He vows to keep Blogger going, and I for one hope he does. Not just because of all the work I have invested in my blog page, but because I really like the app, and what they tried to do. I hope someone comes along and buys it so it can live on.

I must admit my first reaction was, what's going to happen to my stuff? I went and started a page over at Diaryland. But I wasn't ready to start transfering everything over there. I didn't want to post entries to both sites. So I decided to make it something different. I made it into a Dream Journal. It should be interesting... and will hold a place in case I ever need a new home for my blog. There are good and bad things about Diaryland. I love that my page isn't forced to have a stupid ad banner at the top like this one. But it only shows one entry at a time, unlike Blogger that lets you set up the archiving. Ah well.
