Today I braved the throngs of shoppers with Aaron and my sister Emily. Normally I enjoy shopping, even for other people *heh*. But today squeezing through the aisles and getting shoved by people clutching their hot pretzels and slurpees left something to be desired. (Nothing against hot pretzels and slurpees) I much preferred browsing through the small shops downtown than trudging through the overcrowded mall. You walk along the sidewalk and duck into each shop, glad to be back in the warmth again. It has a much more festive feel than the mall. Unfortunately ever since the mall opened, one by one, the shops have been disapearing down the main street of my hometown.
